We hope this finds you well, on the verge of another exciting season of watersports in the UK. Stand up Paddleboarding is going from strength to strength in the UK with a record number of people stepping on a board and becoming instructors during 2015. The public demand for stand up paddleboarding is significant for 2016, if the weather holds its going to get busy.

Here’s a few things to update you on exciting happenings this season:

BSUPA AGM/Free Level 1 Revalidation:

We are hosting our agm on the 12th May 2016 in West wittering at the Venue TBC at 5pm.
We will circulate accounts and other relevant information prior to the meeting on our website and to members.

We will also be running an instructor revalidation course on the same day to give instructors another reason to attend. The instructor revalidation will be at X Train, west wittering beach at 2pm. If you would like to attend either the level 1 revalidation or the agm then please email your details to [email protected] to confirm your place.

Trainer Examiner appointments:

We are planning to appoint 2 new trainer examiners in 2016 as demand for courses grows. We will be running interviews for these appointments on the morning of the 12th May at West Wittering beach.

Updated ready to ride scheme

The ready to ride scheme is going through a major refurb and will be launched in the spring to update and evolve the syllabus up to the current day. We are also launching the ready to Surf, tour and race programs, as well as junior and youth schemes Born to Surf, Race and Tour throughout our schools network.

Team GB Events

The team has been in training at Carbis Bay and will be heading out to the Europeans in Lacanau – France in May – The ISA Worlds have been put back to November but the venue of the Worlds in Fiji will be pretty spectacular for the Wave and Race events. BSUPA also have a 3-series of National Wave events, a sup and kite event, a 2017 team selection and other fun events its involved with.
